Fisheries and Wildlife Sciences

The Department of Fisheries and Wildlife Sciences offers B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. programs. The comprehensive curriculum covers fisheries and wildlife biology and ecology, habitat analysis, and human dimensions of natural resource science and management.

Forestry

Undergraduate degree options are maintained on forest resource management, industrial forestry operations, environmental resource management, outdoor recreation, and urban forestry. At the graduate level, the department offers programs of study leading to M.F., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees.

Geography

The Department of Geography offers strength in two areas. One is geospatial and environmental analysis, including Geographic Information Systems, remote sensing, biogeography, and physical geography. The other area focuses on critical regional and international issues, including the study of culture change, human impacts on the environment, systems of health and medicine, economic development, and globalization. Both undergraduate B.A. and graduate M.S. degrees are available.

Wood Science and Forest Products

The Department of Wood Science and Forest Products provides the wood industry with well-educated, highly-trained and dedicated professionals in the areas of technology, management and business, while at the same time develop graduates who recognize their responsibilities to society, to the industry and to the profession. At the graduate level, we strive to provide highly qualified professionals with extended training for assuming leadership roles in the profession as managers, teachers and researchers.
